Lecce's Guglielmo Stendardo Targets Full Points Against Lazio

The Giallorossi will host the Biancocelesti this weekend, and for Stendardo this could also be an opportunity of revenge against his former team. Lecce defender Guglielmo Stendardo is quoted by Il Tempo as saying that Cagliari deserved their 2-0 win against them last Sunday.

However, Stendardo is now looking forward to face his former team, Lazio, in order to help the Salentini obtain important points for the relegation battle.

"Cagliari deserved the win, they played a good game and were well placed on the pitch," admitted the 27-year-old.

"Obviously, if we had equalised with Papa Waigo, the game might have ended differently.

"After the defeat against Inter, we should have at least obtained a draw, but despite the defeat, we are still two points over the bottom three.

"Now we have 14 finals to play from where to start obtaining points already from this Sunday against Lazio."

Lecce are in 17th place with 22 points from 24 games played, with Torino and Chievo just two points away.
